About Us
From our humble beginnings in a one room school house in the Guilford Lake area to today’s modern structure, Lisbon Baptist Temple is continuing to expand the Gospel of Christ. Through our support of over thirty six missionaries we are committed to spreading the message of God’s atoning love throughout the world. Our commission to spread the gospel involves shining the light of our Lord to the uttermost parts of the earth as well as in our home towns. Here at Lisbon Baptist Temple we are just as committed to being a beacon to our neighbors as we are to the world.
With many programs such as Crusader’s Club for Kids and Teen ministries we let our light shine to future generations passing on the torch Jesus has enabled us to carry for further generations of believers to continue in our stead.
But in the Bible James tells us that faith without works is dead; with our Food Pantry, Lisbon Baptist Temple has been able to bring relief to the needy in our communities. Working in the humble spirit of Martha, the ladies J.O.Y. ministries makes assisting the missionaries easier by bringing a bit of home closer to them.
But progress here at Lisbon Baptist is not moving forward without anchoring ourselves with the wisdom of the past. With our Nursing Home visitation we understand the wisdom of years and reach out to those who still may not know Christ as their Saviour. The future is bright at Lisbon Baptist Temple.
